Your mission

You’ve built a site that allows customers to book tours in the solar system. In this mission you'll onboard your site to the Akamai CDN using the AKamai Command Line Interface (CL).

You’ll learn how to:

  • Create a new property
  • Set the origin
  • Set your hostnames and edge hostnames
  • Publish the site to the staging network

Note: Some of the steps in this process have been optimized for the sandbox used in the Launchpad labs.

Who’s this course for?

Developers, administrators, and other people comfortable working with a command line interface.

What do I need before I start?

Akamai credentials are required. If you don't already have credentials, get some by taking API 102 – Get Your API Credentials. General knowledge of onboarding from ONBOARD 101 – Onboard your site is helpful but not required.

How long will it take?

About 10-30 minutes.

This course is self-paced. You can do it in short chunks over several days if you'd like, or you can do it all at once. There are no deadlines, and you can come back to review the material at any time.

What will I get?

You'll earn Akamai Launchpad points and a badge for completing this course.
